My name is Lindsey Zawisa and I am a student at Galway Junior Senior High School. My family includes my mom, my dad, and my three sisters, Nicole, Katie, and Emily. Also I have 2 nieces that go to Galway, Emma and Avery Menge. I am involved in Varsity volleyball, club volleyball, National Honor Society, and the Internship program with Mrs.Sitts. I have been a starting Varsity outside hitter on our volleyball team here at Galway for 4 years now and a captain for 3 of those years. For club volleyball, I play for Lakeside Volleyball Club and played for North East Thunder Volleyball Club for the 3 years before that. Currently, I am interning at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville on the maternity floor and have learned a lot about nursing. For example, I have learned how to deal with challenging situations, how to properly carry and handle a baby, how to input information into the computer record system, how to restock the labor rooms, and many more things. I will be attending Roberts Wesleyan College in the fall to be a obstetrical nurse in the Air Force. Also I will be doing ROTC through college and be a walk-on for Roberts DII Volleyball team. I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning how to care for patients, while getting to travel.
