Shiver was written by Maggie Stiefvater. Shiver is a romance, young adult fiction and fantasy novel. It was published in 2009 by Scholastic. The trilogy has two other books.

            Grace Brisbane was attacked by the wolves that live in the woods behind her home, when she was eleven. She was saved by a yellowed eye wolf, and since then she has had a deep connection with him. She would sometimes see him “her wolf” during the winters. “Her wolf” has a chilling presence that she feels she can’t live without.

            Sam Roth has always admired Grace from afar since they met, after her attack from the wolves. Sam lives with his adopted father Beck and his pack since he was 7. Sam has watched Grace during the winter mouths but during the summer he barely sees her as he works at the bookstore in Mercy Falls. Sam knows that if Grace saw his eyes during the summer she would know him in an instant, because it’s hard to forget those yellow eyes.

This was a good story, with love, loss and humor. I rate this a four out of five. The next book in the series Linger. Our Library contains both of these books and I hope you enjoy them.
