Mrs. Donnan is back in Galway after having spent 3 years away working at Project Lead the Way. This year will be her 22nd year teaching in Galway. She says a lot has changed in three years, noting the renovations that occurred this summer. She was here when our school used to be a junior/senior high school, then changed to middle and high school, and now back to junior/senior. Mrs. Donnan facilitated designing our technology program in conjunction with Project Lead The Way (PLTW). She has written programs for Project Lead the Way that are used in over 5,000 schools.
Her recent experience at PLTW has changed her way of teaching a little. There have been technological advances that necessitate changing our old Fishertechnic parts to a new and improved Robotic platform called Vex. Mrs. Donnan is looking forward to the use of Vex tools, hoping the experience will bring more high school students in to more technology classes. She is also looking forward to a new green architecture unit for the junior high students that will benefit the new green house project. If you’re interested in any of these new endeavors, Mrs.Donnan will be enthusiastic about your interest and grateful to have you!
