National Junior Honor Society is currently stuffing stockings with items collected from generous students in grades 6-8 and will coordinate delivery of those items to local children, animal shelters and United States soldiers. They participated in “Operation Christmas Shoebox” for under privileged kids nationally. They will be helping to sort food for the local Community Christmas Basket Project Dec 15th. The group recently treated faculty and staff to a “Thanksgiving” breakfast.
National Junior Honor Society officer elections were held in October. The President is Molly Wood and she is assisted by Vice President Caroline Conti. The Treasurer is Emma Rheaume, and Violette Canelli is the Secretary. Inductions for new members will be in February and then they will start gearing up for the annual spring activities, including the fun, eye-opening, inspiring Boxathon.
