From the Business Department:
As the March 1st deadline approaches, the Village Press is working hard to gather artwork for Galway’s coffee table book. Currently, the photo competition is going strong, but we want more of your work!
For week two, we want artwork capturing the uniqueness or importance of HOBBIES enjoyed in Galway. This may include photos of beekeeping or horseback riding; poems about hiking, maple sugaring, or hunting; or paintings of wine bottles, jams, campsites, etc. The goal is to reveal the “country” aspects of Galway activities, the rural philosophy our community embraces, and the hobbies that influence Galway living. For more inspiration, check out the photo gallery below.
Send any of your hobby-related work to [email protected], and check in next week for our next theme!
FROM LAST WEEK:
“From the Business Department:
At the Village Press, our publication team is working full speed to produce Galway’s coffee table book. Currently, we are searching for as much artwork as possible to include in our selection process. Therefore, each week, we will send out a request for specific types of photos, poems, artwork, and quotes, to include in our publication.
This week, we want artwork capturing the history, beauty, or importance of PLACES in Galway. This may be photos of a local vineyard, farm, or park; poems about Smith’s pies or notable houses; or sketches of the school, landscapes, orchards, etc. The goal is to capture the essence of Galway’s location, any notable places in the town, and the areas that influence Galway living. For more inspiration, check out the photo gallery below.
Send any of your location-related work to [email protected], and check in next week for our next theme!”

I love seeing all these new pictures. So many great reasons to be living in Galway.

There should be a prize for people who submit work to the coffee table book. Maybe a drawing for a free coffee table book for one lucky person that submits.
