Katy Perry came out with a new album on October 22^nd. The album’s name is Prism. The album consists of 16 songs. Three of the songs have been on iTunes top ten chart; “Roar,” ‘Walking on Air,” and “Dark Horse.”

They are all great songs but the most popular with people is her song “Roar.” “Roar” is Katy Perry’s number one single from the album. Its debut was number one and made this her 8^th single to top the Hot 100 list. It stayed at number on the Hot 100 list. It sold 557,024 in the first week of it release. That number was the biggest Digital Song sales week of 2013 to date. She stayed on top for three straight weeks. It’s a great song and very catchy. The video for the song was very well made as well. It compliments the song and gives you a visual of what she is trying to express in the song. The song is about being your own person and not to rely on others. It’s about knowing yourself and your self-worth. Everyone can interpret it differently. What does it mean to you?
