Rainy Day Spots: Pizza Pandemonium Edition
By a Seahawks Fan
Some of you might be pondering the world’s problems right now, and I bet one of them is what you are going to order for your toppings on your pizza tonight. Or maybe you are yearning for a pizza everyone will enjoy for that Super Bowl Sunday party you are throwing. Well either way, pizza is an essential of life and sometimes you get scammed out of your born right.
Justin’s
This pizzeria is on route 147 heading out of Galway. It’s a small shop in an even smaller plaza, but it has big flavor. What’s special about Justin’s is that the dough is very sweet and extremely enjoyable. I suspect they add sugar to their dough to convey this alluring flavor. This pizzeria is one of the few that delivers and is usually on time.
Pizza Works
Pizza Works is one of my favorite pizzerias and has an insanely wide variety of toppings. Some include pulled pork, fried onions, pineapple, if you ask, even macaroni and cheese (which is surprisingly good.) They have a dining area inside the restaurant and has a very home-like feel, because they have many things that show how much the pizzeria supports their local school.
Perreca’s
My family adores this Italian shop, which in my has one of the world’s best pizzas. A thick crust with a heavy sauce, which just happens to be about an inch high, is all you need for a meal or late night snack. Unlike some pizzas, this meal is great the next day and doesn’t get that disgusting taste from being in the refrigerator.
La Cucina/ Crystal Bar
I was first introduced to this restaurant because a family member had started working there. I had gotten wings (which were amazing) and a buffalo wing pizza with thin crust. It was very good, but now the restaurant is under a new owner. This doesn’t make it any less delicious though, because they now have a wood fire oven to bake with.
So in conclusion, pizza is a fundamental of life and with the Superbowl coming up, it is an essential of half-time happiness. So I hope you try out these small slices of my life and grab a pie to chow down soon.
