Help Marine Life in New York
In New York State, there is only one organization authorized to rescue and rehabilitate marine life. The New York Marine Rescue Center, formerly known as the Riverhead Foundation, is responsible for responding to emergencies across the 1,850 miles of coastline in NYS. Over the 23 years they’ve been operating, they’ve rehabilitated 1,070 animals. They are a non-profit that relies on public donations to continue operating. To support them, a selection of the Galway High Band will be performing on Monday, May 9th in the HS auditorium. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and donations will be collected at the door.
