I am a soccer girl

I’ve skinned some knees,

And ate some dirt.

I’ve forgotten my cleats,

And brought the wrong shirt.

I’ve tried new positions,

In which some I am better.

I’ve attempted some punts and done a few headers.

But most of all I love my team.

The long talks we’ve had,

the times we’ve screamed.

In games we try our best,

and on the bus back the boys are pests.

But our team would die for each other, and

Although the season may be ending, we will all miss one another.

I am a soccer girl.
