Mrs. Silsby is Galway’s new 7th grade math teacher. She has been teaching for 16 years and came to us from the Warrensburg Central School District. She has taught math to students in grades 7-9. Here she teaches 7th grade math and math lab. 

She has two kids named Ian and Owen. Ian is 4 and Owen is 7 years old. Her husband is from Denmark, which is her favorite place to travel. 

She has a 9 year old pitbull lab mix named Rosie.  She also has a flock of sheep.

She went to college at SUNY Brockport and Nazareth.

Her favorite color is green. Her favorite song is “Can’t stop the feeling.” Her favorite movie is The Notebook.  She also loves running.

She loves Galway and the feeling of community. She especially likes the little things, like the E Way and pep rallies.

If she was not a teacher, she would consider becoming a veterinarian.
