About a month ago, I started getting into a subculture called Kandi. If you don’t know, Kandi is a type of bracelet (well, it can really be anything, but it’s most commonly made as bracelets.) made with plastic pony beads, and often worn at electronic dance music parties or social gatherings. Kandi symbolizes kindness and is a way to start conversations, and maybe friendships!
I started out working on simple bracelets, as I didn’t want to overwork myself with complicated projects and then quit. But, I did get the hang of it, and decided to start my first big project, the “Princess Treatment Cuff” or its technical name, “Pink Mandela Rotating Cuff.” I started after I got my first big pack of beads, complete with letter beads and even string! Then, with all my materials ready, I started working on it. It took…shorter than expected, actually! Here is the finished product:
Fun Fact Time!!! There are actually two parts of the bracelet, the actual part (Lighter Colors) and the Rotator (Darker Colors) . I might make a separate article just for the Rotating part and Link that back to this one. Also, if you want, you can comment on an idea that I could make! (Stars, Necklaces, Etc.)
