Mr. Mulroy
“I went to a large school in Syracuse. A class size was about 800 kids. When I was in 8th & 9th grade, I would get into some trouble. Nothing real serious, I just liked to play jokes and pranks. It was also an attention thing too. I felt like just a number at school and that nobody really cared, so I didn’t care.
I turned things around when I started playing volleyball and took a Business class with the volleyball coach. He actually cared about how I was doing and would let me know that he was disappointed if I wasn’t doing well. That drove me to be better. His interest and caring led me to do really well in grades 10 – 12, it got me into college, but most importantly, it led me here.
It is amazing what one person can do for you. I want any student reading this to know that I and all of your teachers genuinely care about you. We would not be doing this job if we didn’t want you to be successful in life. So if you’re feeling like just a number or that no one cares, just talk to us and we will do anything to help”.
