The Egyptian cobra that escaped from the Bronx Zoo was finally found. The snake escaped from its habitat on Friday, March 25. The cobra is a thin, 20 inch long snake. It is highly venomous and is capable of killing a person. Since its escape, the reptile building was locked down as it was believed to be in the building. During the time they were trying to track it down, an unknown user created a twitter account (@BronxZoosCobra) where they “narrated” the snake’s life outside its habitat as it explored New York City. Luckily, the Egyptian cobra was located on Thursday, March 31, in the reptile building, and restored to its habitat.
I decided to ask some students from Galway: “If you were freed from your habitat, where would you go?”
These are the responses:
-Denny’s
-Disney World
-Central Park
-the beach
-somewhere warm
-skiing
-all over
-the jungle
-Water Slide World
