Kara Ferguson, EMC Staff Writer
Kara is a Junior at Galway and has gone here her whole life. She is a massive theater kid, participating in anywhere from 3-5 shows per year. There’s usually only two months out of the entire year where she isn’t doing a show; June and August. Singing is her favorite aspect of theater and she sings in 3 different choruses as well as taking private voice lessons. Kara plans on becoming an English/theater teacher in the future. Kara is a movie fanatic as well. Her favorite movies are “Dead Poet’s Society,” “The Breakfast Club,” “The Outsiders,” and “Stand by Me.” Kara’s boyfriend is a film student and she really enjoys helping him with his various projects. Over the summer she even wrote, starred, assistant directed, casted, costume designed, and event/location managed her own short film. Her boyfriend directed, edited, and did the underscoring. It was a half found-footage slasher film set in an abandoned summer camp in 1986.
