Over break Ethan (in picture), Adam (never in picture), and I went to a lock-in type activity at a gym in Cooperstown. We went with our Boy Scout Troop, which hasn’t done this type of thing since we were in middle school. Normally lock-ins are held by the YMCA where you play in the gyms and pool for a bit and then sleep, but this was done by Clark’s Sports Center, so they had different rules. For whatever logistics reason, they weren’t allowed to give us a sleeping time or spot, so we were told to stay up all night. While this was hard for Ethan (still lingering above) who is a baby, there was a lot of stuff to do there so the rest of us were busy doing everything from swimming to racketball to rock climbing to basketball. At around 5:00 AM we decided to go home, and as probably the last “campout” I’ll go on as a Boy Scout, it wasn’t half bad.
